More about Nicole “Happy Prana”

Yoga Instructor Nicole Markham – born, raised and living in south western Ontario – started her yogic journey at 16. Years of evolution in her personal practice revealed the importance of living a heart centered existence. This eventually led her to Rishikesh, India – the world capital of yoga. There she received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training from the World Conscious Yoga Family. The dharma (life purpose) of spreading light through yoga became apparent – Nicole gave herself the yogic name “Prana” (the basic unit of life force energy in all things). When one has happy prana, one has harmonious energy and a joyful radiation of being. Now, her personal practice of serving as a yoga instructor is called “Happy Prana Yoga”.

During the October 2012 month of training at the Anand Prakash (Divine Light) Yoga Ashram, the focus was about self-transformation and learning about Akhanda Yoga. This practice – taught and guided by Yogrishi Vishvketu – is wholistic in design. It’s an approach that takes yoga off the mat and into all aspects of awareness and life. pranayama (breath control techniques), mantra (chanting), meditation, asana (posture), shatkarma (yoga cleansing techniques), conscious communication, Since her training, Nicole has become a full time yoga instructor in London, Ontario. There she teaches at the downtown YMCA and for several other studios.
